Access for guests is via the rear doors as there is parking for at least two cars around the back of the property.

You enter via the utility room with slate floor, washing machine and dryer – perfect for wet dogs having just been washed using the thermostatically controlled mixer tap outside the back door – lucky dogs!

To your right is the modern and (we think) rather splendid shower room and toilet, ahead is a door to a large kitchen diner with log burner and great views over Rubers Law to the west.

This is the living centre of the cottage and the well equipped kitchen features all the usual fitted appliances, a large oven, induction hob, full size dishwasher and Smeg fridge/freezer along with your very own Nespresso coffee maker.

A quick search of the kitchen cupboards will reveal many pots/pans/utensils and other kitchen essentials to make your stay as homely as you could wish for. A large dining table can seat six comfortably and for a pre-dinner get together this room offers a comfortable and convivial meeting place to enjoy an aperitif or discuss the days adventures.

From the kitchen a passage leads to the front door, comfortable lounge and stairs to the bedrooms and family bathroom. Passing along the passage there is a well stocked bookcase and cosy lined cubby hole to relax and contemplate your next days plan or read a book from the well-stocked shelves.

Adjacent to the front door is the well appointed lounge with reclining sofas, large screen smart TV and log burner – a perfect place to relax in the evening or on cooler nights to snuggle up enjoying the warmth and atmosphere of the log burner whilst catching up on your favourite TV programmes or watching a DVD from the selection available.

Upstairs there are two large double bedrooms, one of which can be a twin on request, and a smaller twin room. All rooms feature Hypnos mattresses (reputed to one of the most comfortable available) 100% cotton bedlinen and hypo-allergenic pillows in medium of soft as you please.

The family bathroom features an over bath electric shower and underfloor heating during the winter months.

Plum Cottage is ideal for a lazy summer break, or as it is fully insulated and heated a cosy winter holiday – indeed with our Festive package a great Christmas or New Year family get together venue, with a fully enclosed dog proof garden and in the summer a dining table with parasol, a garden shed for bike storage and plenty of space for enjoying the surrounding wildlife and countryside.
